So when I started this
blog I probably should have talked a little bit about what I was
planning to do, but I did it like Star Wars and started in the
middle. I've been talking about writing a blog like this for an age and it's finally found fruition as a place for me to write about the
things I love and post the dreamy pictures I spend hours crafting on
Polyvore. I left university in October last year and have spent the
last 9 months trying to find a journalism job. Not going to lie,
sometimes it doesn't look so good. At times I want to pack it in and
work in Sainsburys. Except I got rejected from Sainsburys. It was a
few years ago but the wound hasn't really healed. Not having
journalism-specific qualifications makes things pretty tricky. I've
done lots of interning - ok, work experience - and been to lots
of interviews for jobs I haven't got. Last week I left an interview,
got on the tube and the vital boobie-orientated buttons on my shirt
were open. Who tries to get a job with an A-cup honestly?
So this blog will be a
nice place for me to write lots on my my desperate search for a
respectable 'career' which I'm sure lots of people can relate to. I
studied film for a long time so I'll be posting my rambling thoughts
on some of those, especially if they involve Channing Tatum. There's
going to be lots of clothes. I'm not particularly good at them and I
have a serious case of Big Face which throws everything off anyway
because I've got the dimensions of a Teletubby. But I LOVE THEM. My
wardobe is not confined by convention. It knows no boundaries. I don't live in a flat. I live in a fucking walk-in wardrobe. I wanted to share a picture with you but it's just so darn shameful so here's a glimpse of what lives in my hallway instead. Maybe I'll post the bedroom later. It would be motivation for me to clean it.
Fashion to me is not about being pretty and it's not about getting men, it's about being brave enough to be a little weird and a lot awesome. I'm inspired by these
ladies:
And these ladies from the days of yore:
Good post although more reviews, less clothes as I find clothes boring.
ReplyDeleteWould you like to become a nudist then jon? I imagine that you would find that prospect FANTASTIC.
DeleteNudists tend to old weird fat men.
ReplyDeleteJust a matter of time then Jon .... a matter of time.
